Department of Biomedical Engineering
Founded in 1997, our ABET-accredited biomedical engineering department benefits from an extensive and collegial relationship with our world-renowned medical school. We now have 16 full-time faculty, more than 300 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. The Uncas A. Whitaker Hall for Biomedical Engineering, completed in 2002, is the home for our teaching and research activities. We are in the process of constructing Brauer Hall for Engineering, which will provide us much-needed expansion space.
