Research Areas with Primary Labs & Centers
Our well-funded full-time faculty are conducting cutting-edge research on many fronts. The five major research thrusts are listed above and include diverse topics including biomaterials, drug and gene delivery, protein misfolding, protein-protein interactions, cardiac arrhythmias, brain-computer interfaces, biomechanics of cells and subcellular structures, psychophysics of learning, sensory perception, biophotonics and many, many others. Many of these projects are done in collaboration with colleagues from our medical school and other divisions of the university.
