Professor Lihong Wang's work is featured in an article on photoacoustic tomography published in the June edition of The Economist magazine.
Titled "The sound of light," the article describes a novel scanning technique that combines optics with ultrasound to provide detailed images at greater depths.
Professor Wang was recently named editor of SPIE's
Journal of Biomedical Optics, effective January 2010.
